I personally don’t get the hate this song gets. Taylor’s vocals were outstanding here and I feel like the chaos of the rhythm blended with the lyrics makes total sense because of the many thoughts she gets in the middle of the night that can be too much, which leads me to understand her and relate to her because overthinking is something I can’t escape from. The lyrics of this song hit right in the heart and blended with the erratic instrumentals, it's a perfect depiction of what we feel when we're trying to escape from a dark time but we keep circling back to the same place and at some point, it drives us crazy.

This sounds so much like The Archer, from the instrumental to the lyrics...except it's a bit more hopeful. The Archer never had a beat drop because she wanted to capture the feeling of anxiety; you're waiting for it to end but it never does. The minute i heard this song i just knew...it's like a sequel to The Archer where the girl finally gets her beat drop. She falls in love with the right person and she's finally learning to cope with her anxiety. Taylor is such a mastermind, i love her for this!
